Not in exactly the same way...but I'd say there are a number of trauma's that the player character will have to go through. I won't reveal them of course...but it should feel alot like his whole world is falling apart around him.

I hope there is not much enemy swarming in BWO.
I have never liked Shivan swarming in FS1 and 2.
They should be technologically much more advanced, still their ships are lunch for Alpha 1... thus swarming.

Hmh... I hope I didn't go off topic...

Not sure what you mean really....I loved the swarming in FS1 and FS2....that really made the Shivans seem invincible.

Not really sure again, but swarming probably isn't what you'll see too much of in BWO. Some big expansive battles however.

The Swarming was fun. Having to race to protect and testing your skills...

Pren, I'm going to.....

Similar concepts, different story and hopefully execution. ITHOV is slightly less ambitious, and doesn't used the Return to earth story line. I think though what will really make it unique is the conspiracy, so Pren, The story better be worthy of a Nebula Award by the time your done.

and what about Mackie?

I meant that Shivans were not that fearsome enemies once you got good 'ol Avenger, shields and "upgraded" sensors. I mean... there was no challenge until you played on Hard...

The only thing that annoys me is when my wingmen/women die like flies getting swatted. I don't mind the feeling of getting over-whelmed (it's actually a cool feeling to be going crazy all over the place trying to save multiple ships from breing shredded to pieces).

However on the flip side getting swarmed by thousands of respawning fighters all going for me after my wingmen die in the first few seconds makes for a not so good experience. See the last mission of Silent Threat for an example. I had to kit out the entire squad as bombers to take down the hades.

That kind of resulted in the enemy AI having a field day with my wingmen when I started beating down the hades, (which still took 10 mins to go down )

I hate those missions too. SO...unless your meant to fight by yourself....the missions are sufficiently balanced so that your wingmen should remain intact. And if they are main characters, they should not die.

Right, wingmens does not have that much problem when fighting 1 vs. 1 (AI) but if it comes to 1 vs. multiple, then wingmen are dropping like flies. I hate it.

But I have never liked swarming, unless it's Starcraft Zerg or Aliens style where enemy is using numbers as their main strenght.

Shivans should be advanced, still they are using swarming rather than really advanced ships. I loved beginning of FS1, Shivans were seemingly invincible. But in FS2...

OK, this went off topic.
