Well in the face of Derelict and Warzone, campaigns like the Aeos Affair still remained popular and continue to do so. Aeos Affair perhaps wasn't the epic story of Derelict, but it had action up the wazoo and it was very well done that way. Warzone was my personal creation and I figure it sort of fit in the middle.
We've taken alot of heat for being the "big campaign" on the block sort of thing. Attracting all of the attention and whatnot. We just announced our campaign. We aren't trying to steal anyones fame or anything of the sort.
I'm sure the good campaigns will get the credit and recognition that they deserve.
Well, you are... I think BWO, MT and Inferno are probably the the biggest campaigns, . I like to think what I'm working on can be considered as close to that level, but only time will tell....
There's opbviously still a big place for small campaigns... i'm planning on doing 1/2 ones myself, to use with the VP files for Reciprocity (mainly to brush up on my FREDing ). And a short story can be better than an epic, if done well.
It is kind of a shame, though, that there are several top-notch campaigns like MT, BWO, OtT, etc being made, and their new mods, etc, might not be seen in other missions outside of that campaign.
It would be nice to see a point where people can make 'add-on' campaigns to something like BWO or whatever using the modding made previously - somewhat akin to what's going on with the B5 project already.
Not sure what your policy on that would be, because obviously there are certain storyline issues you'd want to take care of, but I'd want to try and encourage that, if only to get a bit more longevity.
