Wink With the FreeSpace source code release would there be a total conversion to Babylon 5

I really want to know especially from the developers. And I also would like to tell them that to make sure they follow up on all the babylon 5 details so to make the mod like a total replica of the Babylon 5 Universe (like the ships ,jumpgates, staions, planets, etc.).

Total conversion is possible but it will take a LOT of time. Remember that this code took two years from Volition to make and they are professional.

u will see a lot of improvments not possible before the source code release in the next release and even more in the release after that. We are continually improving the mod to make it as realistic as possible, now with the source code released we are able to make it that little bit more realistic

Well, realistic in the fact that it will resemble the show which is science FICTION.

Unless you have a bone growing out of your head that is...

With the source code will the team be able to change the physics of the game? In other words will the team be able to use a Newtonian Physics model so the ships respond as if in space?

The problem with that might be teaching the AI to fly.

Actually, I had that thought earlier as I was playing with the physics code. Haven't had a chance to gander at the AI yet.

How about small things. Like those flashing lights that can be found almost ewery EA ship (and some others too), wingmen who comment their own kills (like in X-Wing: Alliance) instead of watching like a hawk what the player does, asteroid fields where rocks are not clones of each other... And much more that I can't recall right now...
Small things, but should deserve two seconds of thinking time...
