Model Orientation

I have made a fighter model for freespace 2, when I convert it everything goes fine, except for the orientation. It keeps showing up vertically, with the nose pointing up. How can I change it so the the nose points forward?

In the modelling program, rotate the object.

Strange...you had the model in the wrong direction...why havent you rotated in the modeling program in the first place and re-covert it? DUH!!!!
YOU modeled the fighter and dont even know how to rotate the object?? VERY strange indeed.
hohohoho come clean, what did you do hmmm??

yes, rotate the model 90 degrees in your modelling program and reconvert it into freespace

Nope, no, its strange to me he has asked this question, since the answer is quite straightforward. If you can model a ship surely You can gess by rotating it , it will look right in the game. Thats it.
