Model Orientation

I have made a fighter model for freespace 2, when I convert it everything goes fine, except for the orientation. It keeps showing up vertically, with the nose pointing up. How can I change it so the the nose points forward?

In the modelling program, rotate the object.

high?
Nope, no, its strange to me he has asked this question, since the answer is quite straightforward. If you can model a ship surely You can gess by rotating it , it will look right in the game. Thats it.
