Question When will we see Red Faction 2 for the PC?

I will play Red Faction 2 when it comes out for the PC or I will never play it.

Well see its realyl tough to say...

EBGames and a few other places are taking preorders with the game shipping March 20th.

However, THQ or Volition still have yet to confirm or deny IF its actualyl being released and if so with what features. Rumor has it PC version=no multi for obvious reasons(THQ/V didnt want to have to make decent code)

So my guess is if you dont see it in stores by the end of March, you will never see it in stores...

ebgames is also taking preorders for Duke Nukem Forever, saying it ships on 4/14/2003. but the fact is DNF still doesnt have a release date. so i dunno where eb-games are getting those dates.

personally i dont consider the ebgames date very reliable (but i hope/believe they are gonna release a pc version).

and if they release it for pc im guessing multiplayer will be in it. theres just too many weird rumours in the rf community, so i dont believe anyone actually got this info

Will we see all of them when RF2 comes to PC?

Since its now official that it is coming to PC, I am wondering if the GEO MOD limit has been fixed?

What I mean is that on a MP game you could never do more than 72 geo mods, once the server had reach that limit, geo modable stuff could no longer be destroyed. This limit was virtually always reached withing the 1st 10 minutes of a 30 minute game

This was really a game breaker for me. Being an avid CTF player it would often happen that I had the flag and I blasted my way through a GEO modable wall to escape only to see the wall remain intact because the geo mod limit had been reached.

You can see how this turned me off very quickly from this game.

Actually the limit is 128 geomods but is set different from server to server. I also dont like that problem at some times. It would be nice if they could up the number of geo and still keep the game stable and semi lag free when geomod is in use. That is the other side of geo, that I dont like. The beginners that just stand and shoot endlessly at things to blow them up and not even play the game. I agree its a cool thing to do because its possible, but you can create your own server for digging and it creates too much overhead fro the game to run smooth and they dont understand that.

What I remember is the limit is always reached within 10 minutes of a 30 minute game. Screws you up big time at times.

Myself, I've never had an issue with geo mods and lag.

America gets RF2 for the PC in March.

Geo-mod doesn't sem to lag the game much for me. I lag anyway.

I run geomod on the Hippo at around 50. Enough to use it for tactics but not enough to destroy the playability.

How can you say its good for tactics?

The limit is reached even faster and then you can no longer use it in a strategic way.

For example blasting a whole through a wall to get away with the flag. With your settings you probably can't do that 10 minutes into a match of 30 minutes.

There just should be no limits IMHO, either you have it or you don't.

Well for one thing.......the game doesn't turn to crap. You have to actually think about what you are blasting instead of just randomly blasting holes all over the place. More holes = more lag.
