I use Lightwave myself. I have only created a handfull of models and renderings of it, so you can call me a nevbie-vannabe...
Here's a example of an atmosphere-effect i created with lightwave: http://www.theforumisdown.com/uploadfiles/060602/Noctis V promo_7.jpg
To make the link work, you must drag it to your adress bar, or copy and paste it. It wont work if you press straigth on it (does anyone out there know of a good upload server that actually works?)
Here's another example of cloud-shadows and other atmospherics, just a tryout:

None of those links will work with Ophera, and I am not sure about Netscape either. They only seem to work with IE.

If anyone wonder what Noctis V is, go to the adress you see on he renderings. Belive me, you won't regret it. Please note that Noctis V is due for release very soon.

better lgithing and some motion blur anddiffernt angle and the model also been improved abit =)
