PXO gone forever?

I might have missed something or someone might have brought this up a while ago, but does PXO still even exist?

Do people still use PXO? Anyway, go over to HLP, and check out the Source Code Project... they have their own version of PXQ getting prepped to run. so no more relying on INterplay or their stuff.

Wow, I did not realize SCP has its own version of PXO in the prepping stages. Thats so tight. If it doesnt lag like the old one FS2 may become space combat simulator equivalent of CS. That could be big.

- PXO was never run by Interplay. It's located at the Volition offices, and is completely run by Volition.

- I would be impressed if SCP was able to deliver a lag-free FS2. The nature of FS2 means there's a lot of packets getting sent. I'm not convinced it's even possible, not including the obvious increase of bandwidth.

Lag isn't the worst issue. Dropped cons and PXO not letting a lot of people host were. The hosting issue has somehow been semi-fixed, stopping the people that used not to be able to host from joining instead, but it might one day be possible to go both ways.
