Campaign Feedback
Havent had much feedback yet regarding the 10 mission mini campaign I uploaded last week. Is it too easy, too hard? Any suggestions, comments or things which could be improved. This 10 mission campaign is a demo of the planned and in development B5 Heat em up campaign which should be finished at the end of 2004.
If you havent downloaded it yet you can download it here.

Please read instructions on how to install.
Thanks
Shaun

I tried it, but it came up with errors....
If i got to install the SCP stuff, i will pass......because i don't like the updates.
IMO, the only improvements are the engine trails or whatever they are, but the rest just makes it look worse.
When everything here goes to SCP only, i will just let the CDs gather dust.

I like the campaign. It seems a bit strange though... I'm guessing you're using the Io Station as a 'proxy' until B5 becomes available?
Can't wait till you're done, make sure to include lots of Vorlons. :P

Thanks to den and some of his ships there will be - Vorlons, shadows, Narn, Centauri, Pres Clark, Brakiri, Drazi, Drakh & raiders.
Yes, In the finished campaign you start your training at the Io Station. Do about 10 missions there then you can get posted at Babylon 5. It branches out so there are options to work for rangers, narn, Vorlons and Psi core.

Okay. Finally had some free time to give this a try
I had fun playing what I've played of the campaign so far (I got as far as the Fall of Night mission but quit after eating hot Vorchan plasma ) but I wasn't enormously impressed by the missions I've played so far. There are two main problems with what I've seen so far.
1) Your main plotline. Maybe I've missed a major factor because I blew up the transport in mission 1 but the whole thing doesn't gel together very well. The missions just seem to pop up with no sense of the background. B5 has one of the richest backgrounds of any sci-fi show. Use that a bit more to connect the missions together. In the third or fourth mission I was sent out to stop a raider convoy of some sort but the briefing barely told me anything about why.
Why were the raiders attacking that colony? How did the EA know ahead of time? etc. Answer that sort of question (or at the very least pose the question! ) in the command briefing.
2) The missions themselves are a little linear for my liking. There's very little in the way of surprises in the first few. All the enemies I have to fight turn up as soon as I have enemies so I know exactly what is required in the mission as soon as the music turns dramatic.
Mix it up a little more. Throw in a few more surprises
Anyway don't take this as me having a go at your campaign. I'm still enjoying it and I'm going to keep playing.
BTW Use the escort ships list a bit more. It's really annoying when I'm supposed to protect the transfer point or blow up those raider shuttles and they're not on the list. I know I can add them myself but I really shouldn't have to.

Thanks for the feedback, feedback is always necessary good or bad.
The 10 missions in the demo are a mixture of different missions from the campaign. So each mission is not part of a storyline in the demo, its just a demo if individual missions which will make up the IO posting part of the heat em up campaign.
Briefings.
I am currently having problems getting the right Icons I need for the briefings. This should be sorted for the full campaign release. I want to do a few things with the briefings to make it more informative and more atmospheric. I am currently ripping audio samples and speech from the series which will be used to its full extent. I have also arranged for a couple of my friends who should be perfectly suited for custom mission briefing voices. All going well each and every mission should have its own voice and text briefing. I am also hoping (time allowing) to make up some cut scenes and animations which will also give a better feel of B5.
Nebulas
I have mentioned before if any better hi-res nebulas are available. With all the new scp advancements recently one of the only down points is the background graphics, hopefully more will become available.
Surprises
I have many surprises lined up, these surprises include a different career path eg. ranger missions, Narn, Psi Core Clarks forces etc. (1 is in the demo if you can find it) Other surprises will include advanced weapons, ships, support and misc events.
Escort ships
Good point, ive never used escort ships but I will have a play with it and probably incorporate it.
Thanks for the Feedback - Keep it comming.

I meant the one that was just like the TV episode Fall of Night (i.e the Centauri going after the last remaining Narn cruiser). Since I couldn't remember the mission number (around number 5 IIRC) i figured that might be descriptive enough
