Vorchan SIZE

errr, jst something i noticed a short while ago:

the vorchans seen in series 2 like those flying with octurions that you see now and then seem to be almost half octurion size!

+ the fact that octurions are only a tiny bit bigger than gquans

means that the vorchan in R2 is a little bit big!!!

theres another thing as well (i am probably starting to sound really ungrateful, but really im not)

the vorchans main gun, the ion cannon, seems to be a little powerful. i know that in the series most ships destroyed each other in seconds but i thought u sed u were gonna try and avoid that so decent missions could be made

this is still the best mod for FS2 that i know of, i jst wanna help make it even better!

To my knowledge we never saw Octurions in the series. The other Centauri cruiser is the Primus. And the Vorchan's being smaller is explainable as the Primus has a fighter bay and the Vorchan does not.

The Octurion is a semi-canon battle-ship taken from the Babylon 5 Wars games published by Agents of Gaming.

Apparently there are two versions of the ship as seen in the show (based on some size calculations that a fan did at one time). One was scalled at 600 meters long (roughly what ours is). The other was 300 meters long (more like the Olympus). Tomcat, our primary modeler, decided that having the bigger one was preferable to the smaller one.

If memory serves in the 5th season wesee a Vorchan-like ship flying above the Centauri royal palace in atmosphere. This seems to support the two size class theory, as even the Centauri aren't whacky enough to bring a ship that big into the atmosphere over a populated area. (Unless of course they were going to turn that area into a low rent district.)

sorry bout that, i did actually mean primus, but it still shows that the vorchan is meant to be lots smaller than the gquan like it is in series 2, i can speak for other series and other episodes cause i havent seen em in ages

personally i think the smaller vorchan would be a better idea, as it is meant to be fast and maneuvrable and all that and being the size it is it may look a bit stupid!

of course im not makin this mod so u can ignore me completely if you like!!!
