Missions Briefing Icons
I don't know who this would be best addressed to - not that it really matters though but I was wondering how you did the icon animations. I can do the icons themselves and get them working correctly in FS2, it's just they tend to be of varying brightness. I've produced a few for 'Time of Change' of an Orion, Vasudan fighters wings, and Science cruiser (I'm doing these because I have been in the mood to work on missions) and annoyingly they look a bit odd when they are of different brightness. In itself it doesn't really matter, but if I'm going to do something, it might as well look good.
Looking at your own icons, they don't seem to have this problem so I was wondering how do you get them similar brightness
Just for info's sake this is the method I use to create the icons:
I tend to take a side view shot in modelview, grey scale it and shrink the image to the size I want it in FS2. Then I fade or brighten it (depending on whether I'm doing the fade or select ani) creating the animation steps. Once this is done the image is loaded into a extracted ani (to produce the correct colour palette) and the ani produced.
I hope that this all makes sense.
