countermeasures

will b5 have counter measures (interceptors?) to stop incoming fire like when the centauri cruiser attacked b5?

Well, for starters it is something that requires source code modifications. You'd need to make the AI track the shots, target them and shoot at them. There's already a similar feature in FS2 for some secondary weapons (the anti-cap torpedoes), which would make the addition easier, but the real question is: how big a load would it be for the engine? Personally, I'm quite optimistic... it shouldn't impact performance too badly - now, if only one of the coders had the motivation to check it out. Interception itself ought to be quite simple after that, just shoot at the 'laser' shots with a model-using weapon, it should work.

You mean interceptor guns. Wow. Severe case of deja vu here. It's quite possible but as Jokoto correctly states it'd require source code modifications. The extra tracking code would probably involve a reasonably big performace hit. Of course should the game engine be improved so that more of the processing time is shifted from the CPU to the GPU the CPU will have more time to spend on little luxuries like this.

Well the vorchans are pretty good at shooting down missles, in a mission i made, 6 vorchans survived several minutes against a hail of missles from 2 G.O.D. 's (which is not bad since 1 or 2 salvos kills a vorchan) it was quite cool to watch.

But shooting down energy blasts would be a completely different story. and the vorchan still needs work as well, i know other ppl have also noticed that the vorchans have horrible aim when targeting fighters
