BWO can be installed on....

I got FS2 from this link that someone provided on the freespacewatch forums, and basically its like almost the entire CD condensed into one file. So i got it cuz i never bought it. In any case mods like derelict never installed but MODS that u had to move file by file into the correct folder always worked. So what im asking is there any chance that BWO will come in that form? Meaning instead of being an executable it will be a zip like the demo for BWO was.
Oh and, so far this thing is looking great, taking forever, but most likely far beyond worth the wait. I offered u guys some modeling help a while back but no one responded...

I don't see what the difference between Derelict and BWO Demo would be...

They all sit in the data folders...same thing.

Confused.

i could buy it, but i wouldn't buy it just for this MOD. The difference with Derelict is that it uses an EXE file that looks for freepspace.exe file size i would assume. And since this is cracked or whatever they did to it, the file size is different. If you release BWO in a zip like you did to the demo them ppl like me will be able to play it, if its the exe method then damn am i gonna be upset.
Also another reason i dn't want to buy it is cuz its horrible in terms of stability with my video card( asus geforceTI 128mb), all the text is messed up and hard to read and sound timing is always off. So i'm gonna play BWO for the story basically.

Derelict just uses an EXE to extract the files to the specificed directory. Thats all I'm pretty sure.

Yes and actually you cannot buy copies of it anywhere anymore. Even used online goes for about 49.99 to 65.00.

Can someone tell this guy about the registry fix for the GF4 Text Bug??

here is the text file i have.

====================================

"This bug made the font and some other stuff look really bad. Use the command line -GF4FIX to activate it. However to be honest you are better off using a registry fix that I didnt know about at the time.

THis can be used for both FS1 and FS2:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Volition\Freespace\D3D

TextureOrigin set to 1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Volition\Freespace2\D3

DTextureOrigin set to 1

====================================

It is recommended to buy the game if you see it, the game rulez!!!

Use regedit and add (or modify) those lines. If they don't exist, create em.

dear god you guys are great!
Thank you so much!
Oh and, Icefire, I think i may have sent u a message before, but I do know how to make 3d models, I wouldn't mind helping u guys model a thing here and there. I can't do textures, but getting a model is one step closer. I use 3dsmax5 in u need to know since im not sure how u guys convert it into fs2 models. Or do you do it with gmax? If that prog is the same thing as max5 then i could without much trouble use that instead. In anycase, let me know, i keep forgetting to check this site back for a response, so u can always email me to geno@flashmade.com
once again, that u guys for helping me out!

we have all the models we need, what we could use is a good texturer, but we don't need one as everything is just about done, mods are roughly 95% done, so close it's hard to see what we still need to do, missions are the big thing that is takeing all the time now, I have spent the last few days touching things up here and there, fixing a few minor bugs, but the war is won on the mod side, all modeling (strictly geometry stuff) has been done for about 9 months now.
thanks for your enthuseism though
