Q1) What is TBP Base?

A1) FreeSpace 2 is a huge game as written by Volition, we have completely changed this game and only use very small subset of the gigabytes worth of files made by Volition. TBP Base contains exactly those files. TBP Base combined with an installed version of TBP give you a fully functionning game


Q2) Is TBP Base an Official TBP Product?

A2) Not really, CptWhite and I do this on the side. I for one don't need to have two installs of FreeSpace 2, so TBP Base is a great asset for me

Q3) It crashes at some screen! Help!

A3) Tell me, I'll fix it for the next TBP Base version - the more critical the problem the faster the update (five or six non critical updates make a new version, or just one critical update(

I've been meaning to ask this. How much do you want this spread outside the FS2 community? Is it just for us or do you mind us telling world + dog about it?

Cause I'm thinking that there are a lot of B5 fans, who are annoyed at the Sierra games cancellation who don't know that they can play TBP without having a copy of the very hard to find FS2.

Do not download any R2 files from there unless given green light. This is a warning especially to any dial-up users.
(If you ABSOLUTELY need to download R2 files, get "TBP-Full-2_0.exe")

Since you've replaced virtually every file in the [V] version of FS2 I'm guessing this can be posted to boards that don't like warez.

As for why I asked I didn't want to post it on other boards and then find you'd got hundreds of hits and used up all your bandwidth.
