Woohoo, news updated!

Glad to see you guys are back at it.

I predict an early 2003 release, based on the pattern of updates before release one. But I'm just a schmuck lurker, what do I know. I'm just glad you're letting us play your hobby run amok.

And yeah, release something! Anything! Just something for the citizen mission makers to get us all excited again. The Omega Class, a White Star, B5, breaching pod, whatever. Nothing for us to fly, just something new.

Well, Kosh be with you.

Franco

I totally agree, it would be great to be able to build missions with an Omega.

To be blunt, if you want missions with the Omega et al then get scripting them and even make them (using proxy ships to represent them for now). Then when the actual ships are released all you have to do is swap the ships over and do the mission balancing. I'm sure that if enough missions are made then the models will be released so that the missions can actually be played.

BTW when I say that I'm sure that the models will be released I mean that this may happen if a complete release 2 were to be a long way off but the ships were ready.

I'd rather see the "full" release 2...
Not just a "box full of stuff thrown out of a window of a car passing by" (no what the heck was that?).
Anyway, I can wait.

Ok, maybe this was my point.

Right now just a few guys make the mod, with even fewer doing most of the work. If they could release something small for us to play around with, the user community would have the time to really see what it could do.

Just a model we can build a mission around. Anything in the original post will do. Maybe some of those user created missions could be made as one of the split packs.

That way we could get more missions in version 2. That was my only complaint about V1, only 6 (or was it seven?) total missions. I got five more mulit missions by changing the 5 campaign missions to coop. They only had so much time and manpower.

Ok, I can shut up now. Just answering the question posted on the news page. (You guys did read it right?)

If somebody can give about 3-4Mb web space I'll upload TheExOnes unofficial ship pack, so everyone can have something nice to do a while...

it doesn't matter where somebody put it, but I think that TheExOne wants that many people as possible to get it...
