Fighter-Based Beam Weapons
Alright, guys. Hey. I'm PeeRo.
Since the releasure of the FreeSpace 2 source code, I was wondering if any MODder out there would be willing to work on a fighter-based beam weapon? Me & a friend have done it, but with no way to play the charge/fire/powerdown sounds, and no way to take energy from the fighter (we based the beam off the defunct Targeting Laser).
Is it possible/Is there someone willing to do it?

I believe that Kazan has already said he's working on that already. Have a look in the modding forum.

If anyone could do it, it'd be Kazan.

? In Hypermod 2 there was a beam located on a fighter ( actually, 2 bombers were able to carry it ). Was it done by you ?

Fighterbeams are already almost done, only AI won't use it.
Bobboau is working on it, after we have the source code team, we can worry about compatibility.
The word is.... TEAM!
