Gay Animals !! LOL
HeHe, there was this program on tv about the posability of animals being gay it was realy funny.
This is what happened:
two male swans built a nest and This guy in ammerica killed his dog because it was doing the dirty with the nabours jack russal, and his wife divorced him. Later on they found out that gay sheep had diffrent brains from strait ones rasing the question do gay people have diffrent brains from strait ones. This Conservatave PM in the UK (Where I am from) was extremley offended that the prosenter could show animals copulating with same sex partners. (i think you had to see that to beleve her expressions)
anyway if you have suspissions that your pets gay theres a test, (REALY FUNNY)

I like ns33's sig. Somehow, against all odds, he's managed to bring together not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven, not eight, but NINE quotes worthy of being read every single time he posts. And not a one of them relating any personal information about the divinely modest poster himself. Truely, I stand in awe. If I owned a hat, it would be off to you. Ahh, wait a moment. (fashions a hat out of a Dilbert desk calendar and some Twinkies) Ta-dah!

I missed that show but I'd be prepared to bet money that the offended MP was Anne Widicombe (sp?)

That's interesting. So under the vB software, new sigs are retroactive to every post you've ever made?
This strikes me as a Bad Thing.

Not particularly. It's the way the thing is coded. When it calls your message, it loads the message text itself then queries for the signature file, then appends the sig to the message, then posts it.
Basically the signature is kept seperate from the message itself. It saves on server space, since it only has to keep one copy of the signature on-hand as opposed to, say, 1900 for all 1900 posts or whatever.

I understand the technical benefits of this approach, but still, it forces a bit of revisionist history everytime someone updates their sig. You could go back and look at a post someone made a year ago, and HEY, it's got the sig he just made last week.
There's something not quite cricket about this solution.

True, but considering vB also has the option to supress all signatures ...

Hmm, interesting. I guess it might be time to resurrect the "Greg's BB project" now I've actually learned to do databases. Personally I prefer the UBB way of doing things where the threads are html files and the scripts do what scripts do best to them each time you post
Onto the topic: Humans have been very sexually supressed (In western culture anyway) so that any sort of behaviour that even slightly resembles sex (ie. hugging caressing etc.) is taboo. But there aren't any eavangelical animals so behaviour between two animals of the same sex that might seem sexual to us could be not even remotely connected to sex in the mind of the amimal.
