i just rewatched Serverd dreams and notice that when the omega's jump in they have a coulpe of hyperion/midwinter escorts but in the next scene they have dissappeared, is it a mistake or some weird space thingy phemomanon?

They're still seen up until the point when the opposing forces are just getting into firing range. I think everyone just assumes they were destroyed offscreen.

There's too much going on for the CGI budget to allow extra shots of ships relatively unimportant to the combat. As they were not seen, they have been assumed to be responsible for attacking the Churchill (remember all of her damage) and B5 itself but were destroyed before they could do anything serious.

They just didn't have time to show/render the scenes of those ships being destroyed so they just sort of disappear. They are destroyed BTW.
