Its been another fantastic year for this network. We've seen the release of Red Faction on PS2 and PC, as well as the release of Summoner for PC (not forgetting the Mac versions). Volition and the communities it has spawned have continued to thrive. The FreeSpace community is now over three years old and the community projects and campaigns continue to evolve and strive forward in the hopes of continuing the spirit of the game.
For Volition Watch and the various communities we support, this has been a very positive year, however, not everything this year has gone according to plan. No one will forget the events of September 11th, and no one will forget that the world, like so many times before, has changed forever. But like so many times before, we step into the next year, the year 2002, with hope and fear, joy and sadness, and a chance to continue on.
Here's to all that we as collective communities have accomplished, all that we have achieved, and all that has gone before. 2002 is a new year and a new beginning.
