B5 Dvd
I bet your thinking OT, well your wrong, please read on.........
With the release of B5 on DVD in a few days, I did a search for some information about the DVD. During that search I came across this mod, I downloaded it and then discovered I needed Freespace 2, so I went out especialy to buy the game.
Impressed? Wow! I can only hope the guys responsible for the mod get signed by Volition to complete a full add-on based on the Babylon Project.
To fly along-side another StarFury sent a shiver down my spine.
Like a lot of people I was disappointed to learn about the demise of the official game, but my faith has been restored and I only hope Volition do the right thing!...... (come on guys look at the no. hits/downloads for this mod)
You've done a fantastic job, and I can't wait for more of the same, well done guys.
Cheers
Grahame

Unfortunately Volition can't do anything. They may have made the game but Interplay now owned by Titus(or something) owns the rights to the freespace series. Volition is no longer with Interplay because they are with THQ now. Correct me if I'm wrong with that. I hate the legal system. These guys definately have the talent to get signed by someone though. They have had to work with so many limitations and have done the best they can and so far the mod is great.

it's more complex than that, because neither Titus/interplay or volition/thq can make a B5 game and actually sell it, because the B5 license is owned by Sierra (now called bowl of fruit or something wierd anyway).
So us, and other fan made thingies, are the best yer gonna get.

Go get yourself a Sampo player, like DVE 611 or DVE 631CF
or Sampo clones in England like Wharfedale M5, Digitron DVE860,
or Sharp DV740.
These Sampo players (or clones) can be region free players,
so you can go on ebay, and get yourself your DVDs, have them
mail it over and watch the region one version.
For more infomation, this originally england site (now UK and US
site) lets you know everything there is to know about Sampo
players... and they "unique" functions.

its all a load of poo. Companies always want to have the chance to release things at different times and for different prices across the world, and they don't want us to be able to do anything about it. Never mind whether its fair or not when there's a profit margin at stake.

Cool, someone else from Nottingham
(for all those people who thought that Nottingham only existed in Robin Hood. BTW, Robin Hood and Sherwood Forest are real too)

And that's why we Taiwanese people always manage
to bring you nice and handy things to destroy these
huge cooperation alliance of jacking our money.
In fact, there a lot of DVD players that allows you to
crack it region free, just don't expect the ORIGINAL DVD
FORMAT CREATORS (ie. Sony, JVC, Pannasonic...) to provide
you nice and easy ways to save yourself US$300.
