Freespace 2 is the BEST DAMN space combat simulator there is. Yes FS2 is requird to play TBP.

What is freespace

Actually Freespace is bunch of cpp-files and header files compiled into so called program. All those files you see in freespace folder are additional thingies...

That program is another thing, It's currently the best "spacesim" and I reccomend to buy it.

Edwin: Try a sense of humor.

And by the way, to play TBP you need Freespace 2 ... the original Freespace won't work. (Although if you can find FS1 as well, grab it, because both FS1 and FS2 are superb.)
