Just curious.
In Severed Dreams there are 7 capital ships loyal to Clark who try to seize the station.
1.Wave :
- Agrippa
- Roanoke
- (MidWinter)
- (Midwinter)
2.Wave
- Olympus
- Nimrod
- (Midwinter)
What are the names of the 3 Midwinter class cruisers ?

Unknown, they are too far away from the camera to get thier names.
Question: Since when did they change the class name of a ship because of a simple weapons upgrade?

I wouldn't call moving from plasma discharge weapons to particle lasers simple. I'm sure it'd require much more refitting than just the weapons.

I can't remember where I saw this but it stated that the names of the Hyperions were EAS Io and EAS Europa in the first wave and EAS Callisto in the second wave. This probably isn't from anywhere official but I'm not sure that those ships ever had "official" names.
BTW, the other Omega Destroyer was the EAS Olympic, not EAS Olympus.

THX Triggy, well, I just want to know so people don't come later and claim "the names are wrong!"

Will the EA Civil War feature only the canon ships seen in the show? Meaning Omega, Omega-X, Olympus, Nova and Hyperion (Midwinter).

I think so. Well , It is a canon campaign , so canon ships are appropriate.

Is it a cannon ship? This answer will answer your question.

The Poseidon Carrier is an official B5 ship not a canon ship. According to what I was told by the team members canon to them means what was seen in the series itself. Since the Poseidon wasn't seen in the series they consider it non-canon in spite of it being an official B5 ship as all AoG ships are official.
That being said I wish the Poseidon would be in the next release and campaign but I doubt it.
Btw, to the people designing the Poseidon. The Great Wars 3 Mod team for Homeworld has been making a new Poseidon for their upcoming release based on a newer design by Rameus. The design for this Poseidon is way superior to that of the original AoG version. I'd suggest making the Poseidon out of the newer design, check out their WIP: http://www.tgu.org.uk/Forum/ubb/Forum24/HTML/001091.html

Having a Poseidon is all well and good, but not for the Civil War campaign as it was only finished a year after the Civil War ended. This puts it as first used in 2262 and as a contemporary of the Warlock. Old technology I know, but it is only a fighter carrier.

Not really in spite at all. We're considering canon ships as seen on the show, semi-canon as stuff that was made for the show but never seen and also the AoG ships which were made for the game but which add some variety to things, and finally the completely non-canon stuff of which we're drawing a few things.
The non-canon and semi-canon stuff will be done later as we have our hands full with what we've got to do right now.

No that's the original AoG version of the Poseidon, the one in GW3 is based on a slightly redesigned model by Rameus which has the front section wider, there are only two bubble domes instead of four and the retro thrusters are now beside the launch bays instead of underneath them. Personally I like the newer version better, I'd like to see that one here.
And IceFire I stand corrected on the canon, semi-canon distinction.
