The worst part about trying to avoid all those enemy beams (especially if your hull strength is low) is also not colliding with another ship!

Eh, I clipped the Rommel when chasing a Nial ... about fifteen seconds later, the Sharlins behind it opened fire. Unfortunately, I was, uh, shall we say, "in the way" ?

Man, that was funny.

Flying through ships and stuff - the ultimate l33t flythrough move was in TIE Fighter - flying through that civilian liner...you had to do it just right or you'd plaster yourself all over the place. Needless to say, this is only fun in an unshielded and fast TIE.

Niffty pic A# I enjoy flying through the hyperion and you hear that your wingmen are not as skillful because they prang into the side

Oh, just make it easy on yourself, why don't you? TIE Interceptor - the purest blend of ludicrous speed, firepower, and manueverability. I could take out small capital ships in a T/I

Obviously, get tagged twice and you're dead ...

And if we're going to go for overpowered Empire ships, give me a fully loaded Missile Boat and a tractor beam. Fighters = dead. If I put some heavy rockets in secondary bay #2, Everything = dead.

TIE advanced looks cool, and kicks ass pretty well. It's in X-Wing Alliance, dunno if it's in other SW sims.
But I still like the 'standart' TIE fighter better

XWA was fun, but I didn't like the clipping problems in the last level. That was pretty bogus. Pretty neat to do that though.

I did like the 4 sectors of parallel gametime (connected via those hyperspace buoys) trick - that was a really neat idea.

And yeah, it starts out reallly slow. stock YT-1300 slow
