I think it is supposed to be there. Normally there would be a letter there. I'm not going to go into what the letter means because that debate has gone on for days before. I'm not experienced in modeling and texturing(I would like to learn but don't have the time or patience) but I think the box is a simple solution over making new textures for every ship just for the different letters. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

If the modelers/texturers put a letter there it would be the same letter for every single Nova ship you put in the game. Either that, or they would have to create an individual ship for every letter, wasting time and table space. I remember asking IceFire about this nearly half a year ago and I think he said that they might have one or two of the more prominent Earth ships be individualized (their name and registration letter/number would be on the ship), but it would be rather unrealistic to put twenty some distinct ships of the same class in the MOD.

I agree... but in my opinion, as the EA loge isn't there usually, it should be an unobstrusive one, perhaps not too colorful, I mean with a greyish orange and blue.

However, if the TBP people do it, it will be perfect, no matter what we might suggest... they simply know what they do.
