Balius .pof preview

The above is the Balius as shown in Modelview32. There are a few minor texture tweaks left on the turrets which I asked Styxx to handle, and weapons firing points are still being added.

Other then that, here's a shot of another finished tBE model

That looks nice..the textures remind me of an Orion, sort of. How big is it, exactly? A little less than an Orion, I gather?

Kazan: Levels of details are easy to do, and will be handeled after all models are finished and working within FS.

Alk: The Balius is 1.4 kilometers in length, the Orion is 2.1km. The shots here don't do justice for the texture maps, but they are intended to be similar to the Orion's.

Definately very excellent looking. If I'm not mistaken, this is the forebearer to the Orion?

It fits the part absolutely.

Yes, this ship would be a later design after a-grav was fielded in GTA ships. (Fenris would be one of the first hulls using it)

The Kemuel of course was phased out by the Orions which were more flexible as well as stronger.

Balius class carriers are a revamp of the old design, since the hull is cheap and modular on the inside.

Of course what does that mean for an SOC group like the Conclave?...
