Summoner: SonyWeb Review of Summoner

Posted by Orange:

Craig Hansen, over at SonyWeb put up a pretty good review of Summoner over at their site. The review gives Summoner an 8.5/10 and has some high praises and lists some valid reasons for point deduction in the review. I think this is one of the better done reviews we've seen so far, here's a little excerpt I liked:

Most Square RPGs focus on an amnesiac hero who's out to find out who he really is; by contrast, Summoner's Joseph knows who he is, and it haunts him throughout the game. It's still about identity, but the "learning to live in the present while living with your past" theme is fresher than the latest reduex of Square' "Will the Real Me Please Stand Up?"

I really suggest you read this one, as it really does a good job of listing valid points about the positives and negatives of the game. Fortunately, the author concentrates on the positives more, due to the fact that there are many more positives!
