Make us proud!

Hey well done VW for getting this going. Its something which just had to be done, but lets hope you can do it justice.

Im not going to whine but I think I speak for most of the community in saying weed rather not have a Quake 1,2,3 Or half-Life a la FS on our hands. By that I mean loads of different guns and wepons "convienietly" placed around levels. Id hope to see a more looking Glass studios style game, a bit of thought a LOADS of cool plotline. Not another "frag" "Gib" and "suck on this" romp of a MOD.

I think you should take extreem care in terms of the wepons you will use and or invent for this. Not to mention how your going to deal the the Shivans, shall we say "Unique" method of attack...

Please dont do the usual and read between the lines, Im in full support. I had done some preliminary work on this with James Moores, much of which I still have on my HD, so if you think you can use it ill gladly contribute it.

Infact I even made a movie to try and get the community interested in the idea some time ago But Orange put me straight about it when I tried to get it hosted on FS watch.

Would Perfect Dark/Goldeneye more suit your interests?

I think we're definately aiming for heavily objective based missions and cause and effect sort of things. But its got to be fun at the same time.

We'll see how it all works.

We're being very careful with not stepping on any toes with the FS feel.

As for Shivan combat, quite honestly a full FPS game could be done fighting even a single one, let alone surviving

Orange, real war is nothing like a brainless bloodbath like Quake. Even if soldiers are in a pitched fight, they're fighting for an objective, not a kill count. h4wz!!!!

Besides, he said brainless blazing frag fest. A blazing frag fest which has a purpose, well, obviously that's okay

Yeah.. lemme rephrase.. plus I think I quoted the wrong thing than I originally was going to quote:

hmmm elite force comes to mind - wasn't a complete blood bath but still plenty to shoot - hmmmm- reminising about half life now - best game of all time - before half life i didn't like fps
