I refute Ace's comments about it being my packaging software and installer causing the problems. The only time it may be my installer causing the problem is if you get "error" when it's trying to locate the FreeSpace 2 directory, if this happens you can contact me and i can send you a program that will fix that in five seconds.

As for it being the VPs, if it was the VPs everyone would be having these problems. VP Constructor Suite follows the Volition Packfile specs to a T. If it did not the VPs would not work, period.

I resent the fact that Ace will not listen to be on this matter and I am insulted.

Kazan, I have contacted you several times on this subject, and each time though you heard the facts I presented, you did not *hear.*

It has been brought to my attention that many other mission designers using the packager have had similar difficulties when using it with their beta testing teams.

This descision was made since it allows for the players to have the maximum enjoyment possible.

Edit: I will not allow this 'discussion' to escalate in any form. Also I will not allow it to become "Kazan bashing" which commonly happens after topics such as this.

If this continues or escallates, I will delete any and all topics which are within or pertain to this 'discussion with Kazan.'

then they need to bring that to my attention and show me why it's my utility doing this - remember any old file sitting on the harddrive can override a VP

The problem they have was easily solved and mentioned in the readme file, I sent them the proper information that they missed.

I'm closing this thread, because I see no purpose in discussing this further with Kazan's attitude on the matter.
