The Problem is how to implement this.
So far , planetes are BITMAPS used as background pics , just like the nebulae.
They are static , they don't fly around , they don't rotate and they don't blow up.

Well, we could make a planet a 3d-object , but due to scaling it would NEVER look properly. It would make the whole game ridiculous.

Therefore don't expect Vorlon planetkillers or Centauri Primus fire upon planet surfaces, it won't work ingame.

But this does not prevent us from making good missions with them

To a more serious post:

It would be good to create a few background bitmaps with a death cloud surrounding a planet, or a few with huge vorlon or shadow fleets very far off.
