i just thought i should tell you incase it comes in handy for the starfury but you can fly backwards - at least you can with the shivan fighter dragon - great fun shooting at people chasing you

all you have to do is put how fast it flies backwards in the TBL file, there guy... most modders already knew this, but don't want to sound too rude...

i'm new so i only just found out just noticed that when i used the throtle control to slow down i ended up going backwards. anyway nevermind just thought it might be helpful incase noone had noticed

I guess FS just maps the throttle that way automatically. Interesting. Something to try.

What? The player can also fly backwards? With the Dragon? Damn... I didn't know of that...

I always have wondered why computer can fly backwards with some of the Shivan ships... oh well... I never wanted to die alone anyway...

In theory you can make things fly sideways. Too. or up and down. It would just take several hours of research and programing.

There's a difference between slide and from a ship moving side to side. At least as far as FS2 is concerned.

Almost all fighters in TBP alreayd have slide acceleration and deceleration values.

Ive gotten it to fly up/down and sideways, it has to do with a cheat code(not the tables) that does Volition and Freespace style physics.For sliding its the bank keys and the up/down its the -/+ keys on the number pad.
