sheilded cap ships

has anyone done this before becaseu at least with the aeolus (the only one i done yet) its insanely easy and its cool

ok not so cool my engines aren't glowing - i assume thats a reason there aren't sheilded cap ships everywhere - any way of getting around it?

just had an idea - how about if the sheilds dont cover the engine? i know it reduces the usefulness of the sheilds quite abit but perhaps it coudlb e said tht the engines emissions disrupt the sheild matrix? and it would still protect all teh turrets and provide better protection agasint the ai players

Shields for capships... bad!

Makes the game really unstable on some computers. My PC can't hold it together for longer than 5 minutes, and then it's hand down to the Reset button for me...
