Too bad that smiley doesn't work here... [Edit: Ok appearently, it does. But not as nicely] Anyway, yeah, most campaigns have resident modellers. Like me for TVWP and AotD. It's handy so each campaign an have it's own ships as opposed to a pool of ships everyone already knows.

I recreated a situation with FRED from the days of BOTF (birth of the federation) the computer was slaughtering me as teh last race I needed to defeat was the Romulans but I had almost no resources by then. When it made it's move it was devestating. A lonely Miranda class (aka Reliant from ST TWOK) is faced down by 85 Romulan warbirds (I only mounted a single phasor for test purposes)... Even the Mightly Sigh Noonian Khan was unable to defeat that many enemies!

Meh. What you should do is make some missions. Get together with Omniscaper on tables if you want, but this stuff would be cool with just a few, thrown together missions and a decent sized modpack. Just limit it to Basic Fed and Rommy ships if you want - or anything really, as long as it's simple to do. I mean, as long as we have something to shoot, who really cares?

In sounds simple, but as I HAVE been working on this for a little more than a year now (with little or no support), it's kinda slow. Especially when I have over 1000 models backlogged that need to be worked on! The amount of ships in Star Trek is Staggering (more than any other space Genre I would wager).

For the demo alone you will see fighters from the less well known races also like: The Kizinti (Kilrathi of ST), Tholians, Lyrans, Gorn, ISC, and a few more if I can track them down.

As for Omni I have heard little to less from him (Besides he is SCP I am retail and STILL have not gotten it to work with mods, I think they need to make this error proof first. That message about spaces in the name is annoying when it's one word with NO SPACES!) So I am unable to see Onmi's work in game aside from the screen shots he's posted.

Starfighter asked to help with tables so he'll be getting email when I am ready but of course the MODELS take precidence.

Yes they have Green phasers, they are using my only defualt Phaser for testing purposes only. I still need help with weapons though I think I can translate the existing photons to the other races by changing the .pcx and minor table tweaks like range and damage.

If you followed the ST thread on HLP you would have a greater understanding of what's to be included as well as the progress of the mod.

Kudos to Trashman, for now I am counting on him more for the improved SDF-1 but he was the one who turreted the USS Scorpion so I would have an actual finished cap ship for testing and to show off!

See though, this is what I mean - why include all those lesser known races that nobody's heard of - there's a hard limit of something like 200 ships in the ships.tbl with Vanilla FS2 anyway. You would get much more support if you just released a small, pre-demo demo with just the better known ships in it, and I'd wager that people would find a way to fit Omniscapers stuff into it for you, if they had the motivation.
