Has anyone tried this port?? I tried it but get really crappy frame rates with a 2.8 p4 with a Radeon 9800 pro. I tried to sign up for their forums but I never got an email saying I was registred. No where on their web page is there any way to contact any one to ask a question.

You've got a couple of weird problems there. HLP should be pretty simple to register with.

I can't think of any reason why you'd get crappy frame rates with the port if you get good ones with the standard version of FS2.

You could try using FS2_open (check the source code project forum on HLP) and see if that makes any difference or you can wait for galemp to see this thread here.

Hi! I run the Port.

You're getting crappy framerates with it, eh? Have you tried the main FS2 campaign with it?

The only thing I can think of is the hi-res textures. Did you apply the registry hacks? If so, you might want to consider setting them back, if your video card can't handle textures that large.
