Norbert please!

Ditch the idea of Olympus having any real beam weaponry already!

It's an old patrol vessel, why would EA upgrade those vessels with new state-of-art technology? There is no goddamn proof that Olympus would have even super light x-ray beams! Only proof exists in B5Tech... Umm... what proof?
*goes and nukes B5Tech for good!*

Edit: If Nova dreadnought can't use all of it's weaponry efficiently because of energy supply restrictions, how the hell you can imagine that even older corvette could supply enough energy for particle beams, lighter versions or not.

And actually I can't find any really canon information that Nova really does have this power supply/weapons restriction...

Cool down!
I just meant that it COULD be, not that it has them!
And I don't think that there were any new Olympus produced after EA joined ISA. They have produced new ships (without rotation) like the Warlock and the Tempest (dunno if its cannon), so theres surly a new Corvette as well.

But I would still like to know, where in "Sleeping in the Light" an Olympus was shown?

Fine.

Tempest is not canon design, but it is very good one. It will be included sometime.

It is unknown whether EA has designed new corvettes to replace Olympus or not.

Minbari is a prime example how fleet can manage fine with just two major ship classes.

If I remember correctly, Olympus was seen in the tribute scene before or after when B5 goes boom.

baaaaah! This discussion is irrelevant!
if this ship has beams, if that ship has not beams...
I should remind you that the possibility of placing lasers on the space shuttle is possible today.
I dont want to hear: "there is only technology to put a sling shot on the Olimpus, and that bearely leaves any energy for the crew life suport" Like hell... lol

I'm sure if JMS wanted the series to go on EA would simply buy Minbari warships.
Why waste time moth-balling fliyng briks?
After all their are EA's alies, and their ships simply have got the biggest and badest balls around.

Sorry im in a bad mood today, only slept 7 hours...

"Only slept 7 hours?"

Wuss. I woke my arse up at 0500 after 4 hours of sleep yesterday, to shoot an emegrency preparedness excercise about a chamical attack. My morning funny pages consisted of cops getting themselves contaminated. It was fun.

Edit: you sarcastic SOB, it's too early in the morning for me to read between the lines.

LoooL there was no intention making you"read between the lines" ,specialy when I broke up with my girlfriend a couple of months ago.

The reason why I sleep only 7 ours is because, I have to get up early everyday at 6:00 for Uni and return home at 20:00, and let me tell ya I had worked on my fathers contructions with aprox. the same schedule (as a cement and bick cargo mule) and between the 2 activities I was more psicologic stressed at campus.

The reason is simple: at construction I'm so tired at the end of the day, the moment I become horizontal I imediatly sleep even with my bones hurting.

Uni is stress 24 hours a day, without at least 9 hours of sleep I simply dont "compute" (i.e. stay awake) during classes.
Of course Uni here is a whole new world apart from other contries i.e. the students are more organised than the teachers and often things simply dont work without a heavy re-wiring, signs of the economical crisis... stupid Bin laden.

Minbari kick ass, no matter what!!!
