Firstly, Volition is not my competition. I make online, RP required, multiplayer RPGs.

Second, we've been over that this is not Volition's message board.

Third, yes it is your forum. But editing the titles of threads other people made, when the title did *NOT* violate any rules of the forum is heavy handed moderatorship that is really inappropriate for any *DISCUSSION* forum.

Fourth, what assumption about anyone's intentions did I make? What rule did I break?

Fifth, lets remember the whole PURPOSE of this thread:

I love their games.

I want them to sell MORE copies.

I want them to make MORE money.

The problem I see is they make no effort to build community around their franchises.

By comparison, companies that DO build community around their franchses (Blizzard, Bioware, Square, etc.) do unbelieveably well.

You seem to think I am flaming, when I am not.

I'm comparing mass market entertainment products. The relative interactivity (or not) in not important here. In fact, you could say that altering music / movies / etc is even more important than in games becuase the user has no other way of altering it. In games, at least, you can try playing in different ways.

I'd say it's more PC gaming that's community orientated - I'm not aware of any major communities around most the 'giants' of console gaming,who sell to a massive amount more people than PC manufacturers do.... i.e. Rockstar.

No, I think you are TROLLING ... which is expressly forbidden by #3.

And again, I changed the title because I decided it should be changed. Read the User Agreement, which allows such things to happen.

The issue is not what CAN be done but what SHOULD be done.

Editing the thread titles of someone else's thread has a "chilling effect" on discussion.

Why not post your own thread with the title you prefer? Why hijack a thread posted by someone else simply because you want to change the subject?

Can you see why that is very heavy handed moderatorship?
