Guys, guys, guys. Computer problems are an excuse to upgrade! That's why true computer users are broke: They're too busy getting brand-new hardware.
Anyway, hope it works out for you.

serously though, i do have problems and my current motherboard is kinda outdated.
It has no room for upgrades.
My new Motherboard (when it comes) will have alot of upgrade room.
with the new mobo, i can go to ATA133 and DRR333 eventually.
But right now, i am concentrating on the Motherboard, extra memory, the CPU and the Video Card.

My Motherboard has arrived.
It seems pretty cool.
The Overheating is still going on, but it is probably due to lack of fans. lol

even that should run FreeSpace 2.....right?
D00d! I played FreeSpace 2 on a PII 233 with a 16mb RivaTNT and 64mb of system memory. It was only 640x480 but it worked!

Geez. 3DMark is really video-card centric. I'm scoring 8-9k on a rig that's not too different save video card.
However, 3DMark == whatever.
Games is where it matters. Max Payne, which I'm replaying right now, looks AWESOME with full detail and FSAA on...

well, right now, i don't think i can run the game with all detail on AND have FSAA turned.
But basicly, performance in the games has increased considerably.
