Brakiri ship looks really good. Shadow ships are well looking same that I have had ah so long (from TheEXOnes pack), Vorlons looks somewhat nice, but still I don't like them much, maybe textures are irritating. Whitestar is looking blocky butt ugly (well not excactly, but it isn't Whitestarish). I suggest you get TheEXOnes version and replace its textures with something bit, well a lot better
Otherwise looks nice, I need to continue Janus II also

Well I can upload them in following days, shouldn't be a problem to do. So just Whitestar? If there is more, tell me in PM and I give them too. Yes I am too lazy to upload whole pack

Well... myself... the Warlock, Avoki, and shadow vessels I all love. If it was just up to only me I'd be asking specific questions about them with a view to including them in the next TBP patch. Unfortunately, it's not just up to me.
The Vorlon ships I'm unsure about. I'd like to take a closer look at those.

i would like to use this warlock but i get an error. :-(
I open fred
Choose warlook as new object
put it in the map
and the error:
Error: Couldn't open texture 'b5_metal'
referenced by model 'warlock.pof'
File:C:\projects\freespace2\code\Model\ModelRead.cpp
Line: 1802
Call stack:
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
i dont have such a folder/directory.
since nobody seems to have the same problem i am starting to wonder what happened to my modded fs2.
by the way, what is better to use? original (patched) freespace2.exe or that one from the open source i discovered later? (I allready did the registry entries for D3D)
This (old) game is new to me. (Yes shame on me!) ;-) but i think all of you remembers games that have been introduced to to you much later from their release. i just have to catch up...

I had the same error, I used pof constructor suite to change the texture to one I allready had in the maps directory This probably won`t help you much, but it was the best fix of the moment for me which would work.
(edit) I`ve been around since FS1, but haven`t been a member on any boards that long, also using mods from hlp, tbp, sectorgame and a few other places that have them for download..
I`m sure someone will come along and enlighten you with a better explamation than my soddy fix..

Thank you Den5
(edit) Jabuka
As for using fs2open or the standard fs2.exe..
I`ve not had much luck getting the fs2open to run a full mission without crashing and the standard fs2 won`t run more than say 130 ships in the table file, but I have had good luck running DTP`s FS2beta3 release.. 200 ships in the table 1000kb max in the ships table..
You may have better luck than me with the FS2Open than I did so don`t let me discorrage you.

thanks den5, now the Warlock looks like one.
130 ships? is much i think. I guess you are counting no fighters at all. Anyway, if I try to reach this number with fred2 i got an error and a crash of fred2 much earlier. (at 30-60) I will try it out.
Maybe I have more "luck".
I played some missions from the campaign from den5. Very nice!
but i sometimes disovered limitations.
I will try to explain:
One mission where I have to kill a horde of raider fighter and two other bigger ships are hostile. I remember 2 hyperions. At the end one is killed and the other one ("Blood...") jumps away.
Well i figured out that if i was succesfull in disableing their engines this ship will NOT jump away. This was kind of hard because both ships and a wing of raider foused on killing me and my fire has to be concentrated on engines. Well it worked and after the other ship was destroyed the "Blood..." cant jump. hehehe...
so far so good. But as hull integrity of the disabled (last) ship reached 10%, the ship got invulnerable and nothing can destroy it. This mission can not be finished if this ship can not vanish.
I would like to get a medal for this brave and honorfull attack! ;-)
Another thing I discovered:
After making first contact with these three minbar schips that lead to war, I was somehow able (by disarming their powerfull weapons) to survive this threat. After disabling all fighters i got back on the three minbari ships and making them blow!
(Yes, bad EA, hehehe) So far, so good.
In hyperspace there is the message that fighters followed us. But in fact, no fighter come. I think I killed them all before. The mission can not be finished. Maybe there could be something done to add additional missionevents to prevent minbar ships from blowing up. How about making them hyperspace after losing their weapons? (+ as many know important people are on board as well)
Ok thats from me. I hope my information is helpfull to making some improvements. I think it is not so good making limitations in achievments with a rule/event because there is allway someone who find out about this way and has to restart the mission.
:-(
Its better to let the player see how dangerous the situation is by adding more enemy fighter, so my wing cant do it alone and the player has to concentrate on his task (like killing raider) and not having time to go on some engines like me. A message like "Thats maybe more than we can handle" from wingleader would prevent me from saying to myself "Ah, let them hold these raiders off, I will try it and if they have big problems holding them off i can fly back and help out.
dont get me wrong, I played you campaign for sure more than 2 hours. So I want to say that I like it (,otherwise I wouldnt play it!). Especially the "cutscenes" are a good idea. Adding a lot of story-feeling to the campaign.

To not use any cheats. How you could destroy all minbari fighters? Of course they were not, as the following mission -red alert. By the way, you should follow orders instead of chase everyone minbari fighter.

Sometimes my comunicator isnt working correct. ;-) So it happens that I can not understand the orders of my commander very good...
I thought he said "go and disable some engines" but later it was clear he said something else. ;-)
I dont cheated or do some dirty tricks.
a good tactic is to get between two big enemy ships (with BIG cannons) and do the "chicken run". As they miss me they start hitting the other ship(s) with their weapons. That hurts!
This worked agains the spanish armada (hope it wasnt the french one) and in Star Wars Return of the Jedi in the great battle where the fighters ordered to go between the star destroyers to have a bigger chance to survive.
...with no strong weapons remained (because i only fired at them) on minbari ships i can let them there and concentrate on minbari fighters, that were firing on other ships.
(One or two thought to hit me but they learned their lesson fast.)
Well i survived the first contact with 8% hull integrity. Thats what i would call a little bit of luck. A bigger blast from another explosion would destroy the fury. Just two other wingmen had the luck to survive with a wrack of a fury
Anyhow, nice action i was involved
