and also does stu_fs2.vp cotain the in game voice? or the voice for the briefings?

that FS defaults to extracted soundfiles in the data directories if present, if you delete those (backup...) it should use the stf vp file instead.

thanks for the link, thats one less thing i need

I really enjoyed the story telling in Freespace 1 & 2, the lack of cutscenes and whatnot takes away form the atmospere, and shivan ships dont look nearly as threatening in 640*480 rez
