Hmmmm... Survivor.... you just gave me an idea....mind you I've never seen Survivor (yes, NEVER - close your gaping mouth and stop sweeping the dust off the floor with your jaw...), but I know the general idea...

It'd be neat to see a campaign where there's a battlegroup cut off from the GTVA, stranded behind enemy lines or something, where they have no reinforcements. Think about it, you ALWAYS have more ships somewhere... but if you had to make do with what you had, survivor-like.... You'd have to make each and every thing count...

Not a bad idea.

I've never watched Survivor either. So your not the only one.

Frankly I think its a reflection of the negativity of our society and encouraging such behavior is disgraceful.

Yeah, but you guys in australia don't have to deal with a ship coming up and tying up in front of the dish that handles the internet connection or a smart filter program that has some basic AI and has been programed to exclude everything that can even be remotely considered fun.

Hey sandwich, great idea! i think that could work out real well. you could even make two different variations of that idea, one with the NTF, and one with the Shivens.

I know what you mean charger, about the connection, a sleeper ship or a cryo ship
something on the scale of homeworld's mothership.

You know, if you get that 20km monster, the Apocalypse. i don'e remember what page its on, but if you place b5 style rotating sections in the area between the two connecting pylons that connect the forward hull to the aft hull, you would end up with a very large space for peple to in habit. and then , if you place a gas miner type scoop in the front, you would then be able to collect fuel on the voyage from terra, thereby freeing up more space for the hydroponices bays and crew.

oh, and since the apocylipse is a 20km long juggernaut, it will have the armament to take care of itself. it would make the perfect type of ship to survey the systems out side of sol.

It would be a planet with a thruster

make it so that it is designed to have people live on it, rather than be cryogenically frozen.......

It would be a better idea... I think atleast

Wouldn't work.

it would have to be a hollowed-out asteroid if you tried that. unfortunatly, it would have the structeral integrity of a beach ball. there was another idea that i had. Now sol had most of the terrans best scientists, right? well, what if they figured out a way to modify a jumpdrive for interplanetary travel? say, 24 light hours per jump, one jump ever hour. it would power intensive and it would take a long time, but it would get them there in enough time to be here by about this time.

The Cyrogenic Containment on a large ship is a much more plausable idea because there would be no need for life support bar the cryo tubes and therefore, the hull can remain largely strong

that why i suggested that apocalypse class juggernaught. it certainly has the space, especially if you add sections between the two hulls.

You mean like a recluse, sitting in a dark corner holding a large bottle Jack Daniel's
while working on his campaign as well as muttering some gibberish more akin to the language of vasudan's. Do you elusive like that? :P or do you mean elusive as in just hard to find and very quiet, the complete opposite to snipes? :P
