What do you mean? Are you on dialup or something? Just start it and wait for it to finish...

well, i got them, i have been trying to compress some myself, it seems pretty complicated.

Its weird....

My Brother (who has done alot of movie compressing and stuff like that) showed me how to compress it using the Xvid Codec, it worked on everyone of the movies, except the colossus movie, it has an error (corruption??) at the point where it talks about the fighter bomber wings in its' *vast* hangers.

I have no idea how you got the movies that small and clear. :/

Actually, my videos are encoded using xvid. Except since I know what I'm doing, they can be decoded using the divx codec just fine.

errrr, just to let you know, that's the trinity in the mystery of the trinity mission. unedited apart from SCP usage and the new HTL fenris. i was running through the first few missions of the main campaign and was checking the fenris over for bugs when i thought, 'hey, that looks nice'. print screen.

ok, here's one in deep space, in the Romans Blunder.

and here's an earlier version, also in deep space from Flipside, without the latest model, but with Bobs new environment mapping.

do you really still prefer the old look of fs?
if so there are plenty more images of more interesting things than the fenris, namely things like Lightspeeds tons of amazing new stuff: http://www.penguinbomb.com/lightspeed/ (click around, look at the new BG's, the weapon effects, the planets and the rest till you're convinced )

muhahahaha!

"in the Nebula, the after image looks better, but in normal deepspace, it looks terrible."

yeah, that's becase the one in space is before SCP, that's the idea behind a before and after image seres

Its weird, some worked with Xvid, while the Colossus had a corruption error, while on a different codec it was fine.....it is really confusing me.

huh?

anyway, i have done all the movies for Freespace 1 % 2.....but the thing that is puzzling me, the FS2 missions that came with the 200MB+ vp file for FSopen doesn't show any nebulas at all. (the deepspace missions.)

Infact, only the missions that are focused inside a nebula (Gamma Draconis) can be opened in FRED and i am totally confused why the other missions don't even open. (Unable to open file: c:\games\freespace2\data\missions\loop1-1.fs2) and then it just closes FRED.

What is causing it?

If this has been answered elsewhere, can you post a link???

thanks in advanced,
JamieK

well, the most recent version of the nebs, most likely. also, you need a really, really recent build, both of FRED and FSO. there is only one FRED build that does the job, and only 2 or 3 FSO builds.

Guaranteed we'll have an EXE from the SCP guys that will be linked, recommended, and downloadable.

Probably release 3.6 (everything else is currently beta testing) which should be the ticket for us to finish development and use some subtle but cool new features.
