ns33, the entire FS community has been voting multiple times for FS/FS2, and encouraging others to do the same. In that regard, you're just as guilty as the Descent community, so get off it. Besides, you should have read Rake's entire post. He wants quotes to back accusations of using a script to stuff the ballot, and having read all of those threads myself, I can firmly say that you won't find any.
quote: ...including scripts...
Not a single quote there supports that claim, nor will you find one.
quote: ...multiple votings...
Again, the FreeSpace community is just as guilty.
quote: ...suggestions of voting to outside respective community...
Point? It's called rallying support. There are people beyond Planet Descent and the Descent BB interested in seeing a continuation of Descent, even if it's just to have another shooter on the market.

No no no, I did not ACCUSE anyone of rigging or cheating of the Interplay poll. I simply responded to Rakes request that someone from the FS community find quotes from the forums that he gave us that supports the case that the D community rigged or cheated on the poll. So the question is: do those polls reflect the fact that the D community (100%) remainined valid voters, or did the D community (at least 1 person) rigged or cheated on the poll?
No, I did not have the INTENTION of flamming ANYONE, on ANY forum. However now that my name has been mentioned, I feel I should be given the opportunity to defend for myself and my community.
I should note how quickly you retaliated with finger pointing at US, right AFTER I launched those quotes in an attempt to show the FS community that there were "internal matters" going on in the D community regarding the Interplay poll. As for "you should have read Rake's entire post. He wants quotes to back accusations of using a script to stuff the ballot", what difference does that make? To me (and as of now, I do NOT speak for the entire FS community), cheating is cheating is rigging is rigging, whether by script or by multiple voting.

um myself and another perosn voted for descent for an hour straight today between 3pm cst and 4pm cst, we cast about 1500 votes and managed to raise descent's % by 1, so if my math is right, approx 150k votes have been cast with a margin of error at 1500
And you are telling me that you do not find that the LEAST incriminating? You do not deny the fact that this statement was, from my "legal" point of view, a confession that the D community had at least SOMEONE rig the vote with fifteen hundred votes, yet you point fingers directly at the FS community.
I'll tell you what. I see that you have provided quotes of yourself as well, but what do THEY prove? Where did you get it? My sources are clear, anyone can look at it; would you be willing to tell us yours? Speaking on behalf of myself and myself only at this point, it can be established that the D community had a 75% intention of rigging the poll, and from the quotes provided, three people racked up AT LEAST 15 hundred votes.
You tell me. Who is more guilty?

the fact that Descent went up 10% in less than one hour is proof enough for me
also there is no declairation of us cheating, we only said we should or we wanted to, someone saying "I may try to make some sort of script", you have people saying things like "I am useing a script", further we never said any thing of any seriusness untill well after the D community had pulled out all stops

Yes, that was odd..
I have an ADSL connection and was voting like mad sunday through tuesday. And each time one of the games was about to lose a percent, it would take one away from FS or D then about 6 votes later, D would go down.. well this didn't not happen at all after Tuesday. I'm not saying I can vote faster than the D community, but with myself and the FS community voting and having no impact on the poll whatsoever, I'm positive some of your people have.
Perhaps they wouldn't come ut right and tell everyone, but that doesn't mean they didn't.
