whitestar55, I don't really understand what you're after.
You can't fly Olympus or any other small capital ships in the mod, not even WhiteStar. And we're going for "accepted" size for WS, not official.

So it stays about 270 meters long, not official 475. It was bigger only in one episode, not really a reason to make it bigger than it actually is.
If it becomes possible to fly fully functional WS at some point, you can trust us to make it flyable then. But not until that.

Most B5 cap ships are 1000-2000 meters long. I wonder what Picard would say when he encounters a Vorlon planetkiller while it's blowing a planet up...

People, a warning for you: Do not go for fictional universe vs. fictional universe discussion. That leads to nothing and is absolutely pointless. Remember it.

I believe BlueStar is basically a smaller WhiteStar without main beam gun. Sure the pulse guns are different, both having their pros and cons. But still somewhat equal I believe.

not comparing universes just trying to give a perception of size.............. and how could the whitestars be changing size between episodes???????????i think 475 is a litle big and 275 is too small.........maybe they were somewhere in the middle(artistic license??)

The point about the olympus was this - olympus AND whitestar are both capships!!!!!!!!!!

whether its 100m or 1000m the ship will not "handle" like a fighter.

Unless your "changing" the size/dynamics just to fit it into the mod!!!!

I would just concentrate on working on the bluestar since its smaller than a whitestar and since little is known about it you can take more of an artistic license with it.

remember this doesn't have to be an a** kissing session......good ideas usually come thru disagreement

Size comparisons made from CGI suggests that WhiteStar is ~270 meters long. For one episode WS was made larger, and this also become official size. The episode where WS appeared to be much bigger is Meditations on the Abyss.

WhiteStar is extemely advanced, it is as fast and maneuverable as a fighter. It is larger but it has nearly as much firepower than a capital ship has in it's main guns. Not Olympus, but a Hyperion or Midwinter for example.

And we will have a new Gunship AI for WhiteStar and other similar ships, like Vorchan. Gunship AI will handle ships like they were fighters/bombers but with capital class size and armament.

I think this AI is a good idea, but not good for the Vorchan.

The WS is AT LEAST two times faster than the Vorchan!

But you could use it for the Shadows and Vorlons.
Not the Dreadnaught or Battlecrabs, but for the Cruiser (V) and those scout vessels (S) which where seen in the first big scale battle against Alliance vs. Shadows. They seen to be nearly as big as the WS and a little bit faster.

And B5 ships HAVE some kind of defencife fields! But they don't block damage, they only lower it. It's something with elecromagnetic or gravitetric fields, pushing away the plasma or particles of the particlebeams. Of course this is less effective against those p-beams, because they fire a constant burst. Most likely not working against X-Ray Laser or FirstOnes weaponary.

Vorchan is nearly as fast as WhiteStar. In B5, there is no max speed, but acceleration. Vorchan cannot accelerate as quickly as WhiteStar, but when required, it can give a WhiteStar a run for it's money. In one battle scene, we can see a Vorchan chasing a WS, it did not fall behind. I can't remember the episode though...

While Vorchan may be nearly as fast as WhiteStar, it is not even close to the maneuverability of WS. Roles are different and weaponry is different.
