And, if you inplement Newtonian flightmodel, don't make it too realistic.
I played the I-War 2 Demo and thats too realistic to be fun. Sad, because its a good game .
You should easily fly like in the TV. They used the thrusters only for rolling and "spezial manouvers" if im remembering right. And of course for slowing down .

Even the thing with the vertical and horizontal thrusters?
If yes (and you find the time to do it) than I suggest to lay them on the Num-Pad.
But don't make the flight model unless the rest of the TBP is finished please. Even with the "normal" flightmodel TBP is GREEEAAAATTTTT!!!!!
FS2 already has vertical and horizontal thrusters. Try flying a mara and press the buttons on the numberic keypad.

Does anyone make a full newtonian joystick?
Something like this would be cool:
Two sticks,
left stick:
directional movement. joystick jeft-right, accell left or right; foward-back, accel foward back; raise-lower, accell up or down.
Right stick:
yaw pitch roll. twist left-right, yaw left right; foward-back, pitch foward back; left-right, roll left right.
This would be a great configuration for a full Newtonian game.
