Here's my wish list...
Fly-by-wire bombs.
Beam turrets for bombers.
Player-controllable turrets.
Will edit in more later, busy working on a Star Wars fanfic and that's taking most of my mental power.

I agree... I love FS2, really, but it could be upgraded since it is getting old. The game is great, though.
What could I add: how about a modelling of the damage? nothing serious, probably, but what do you think about, say , changing textures to "outburned" on the hull in place it has bean treated with beam ?
The one thing I found in FS2 as not perfect was fact that there was nothing with hull, when it was damaged. All right, when it was in critical, but still no texture changing nor anything what could represent damage.

An effect similar to what a lightsaber does to a wall in Jedi Knight 2 would look cool.
