I still think that the EA could win another war if they had the right motivation (and the minbari didn't!).

There are rumors of a book of the three Crusade scripts coming.

You can find something here, but unfortunately not much
http://www.visi.com/~wildfoto/spoilers.html
And oh yeah! Almost forget this
I found some time ago a finnish B5 site that had these Crusade scripts, but... I don't remember it's url anymore. Perhaps Jabu or Darkblade knows?

There's nothing to discuss.
EF does NOT have a bigger fleet than the Minbari, never has.
The Sharlin's hull is incredibly strong, kinetically and energetically. It's extremely hard to destroy a Sharlin cruiser, during the E-M war only a handful was damaged or destroyed; Earth was NO match, as threatening as chickensh!t.
The Nial is still untouchable.
The Warlock is a big, heavy, expensive cruiser. A flagship, maybe only one per strike fleet.
Victory is the only match for Sharlin.
Minbari over Humans forever.

the victory class could whip a sharlin all the way to the vorlon homeworld and back several times no question about that and as we say from in the begining as i pointed out earlier even a hyperion class when it can target the sharlin could cause serious damage to it - the mimbari seems ot be slow learner by human standards they just have been learning for alot longer and earth force is catching up nicely. give them another 10 years and they could take the mimbari easy in my opinion

The point is, you have never seen the Minbari's full potential, not even during the shadow war, but you have seen Earth's.
And a Hyperion couldn't do sh!t to a Sharlin, it only can finish off one that has been severly damaged for example by a pack of Novas.

not the way it looked in "in the begining" but the point still holds that a small fleet of earth alliance vessels although several mauled survived an engagment with the mimbari and the mimbari ships suffered some serious damage too - and none of those ships infact all of them put together would only have a fraction of a warlocks firepower

I can't say that the Minbari are that much more powerful. The Minbari don't seem to have as many people as Earth does...it almost seems as if they have fewer ships just better kept.
The Sharlin is definately one of the most powerful younger races warships, but the Warlock does pack some serious firepower and the Drakh fleet that attacked Earth was packing weapons easily as powerful as the Minbari ones. It was a touhg fight, but Earth ships were upto the job with some Alliance support.

"Some Alliance support", right...
You know what your problem is? You are goddamn patriots!
First off, don't take everything that some video-sequence programers make as god-given! They've made worse mistakes than making ships appear weaker than they are.. I'm talking about facts here..
About the Warlocks, yeah I already mentioned the quantity.. The Minbari have much bigger resources, hence more, very powerful ships and more warleaders that are also better trained.
BTW, do you realise how nerd-like this discussion is getting?

Actualy, ICE if you take look at the specks on B5tech youll see that it says the minbari have bio-armour that deflect 80% of the energy punched by beams. on top of that is the huge tecnological disavantage we poor humans have... the beam guns on almost all earth ships except maybe the warlock an defenetly the victory clsass ships, are not focused or coherent enough to do significant damage. It would require 1 or 2 suicide warships to make the sharlin busy while an warlock hits it with everything but the kitchen sink. Maybe there the sharling would fall due to the combined firepower.
The first encounter betwen the two races the sole shalin targeted suffered only moderate damage inflicted by several earth warships. Note: damaged NOT destroyed. The humas would need probably at least the same numbers of warlocks as sarlins(and a lot of determination and spirit of sacrifice). Unfortunatly we puny humans have only a hand full of them.To take the stars the human rece would have to grow even more mature tecnologicaly speaking.
Man I soun almost like a philosopher lol

I'm not sure about bio-armor but I'm positive about crystalline armor on the hull that is able to partly disperse those energy beams.

what makes you think the mimbari have greater reasources? from what i've heard the earth aliance has spread very far - and i disagree afew hits fromwas all it took to take a chunk out of a sharlin and look at the omega x's weapons they could take out a white star with basically one hit and it was the same type of beam we saw protecting the EA bases on mars so that tech is in the earth alliances arsenal now if it can get through vorlon bio armour it can rip through anything the mimbari are using combine that with the tech gained from the interstellar alliance i think you are under estimating the firepower that EA ships are carrying - another point the victory and the excalibre although they used mimbari tech who built them? thats right it was humans now just think what chance does a sharlin stand against a victory class destroyer - simple none

I'll go check but im pretty sure there was some Alliance support. Vree saucers and Sharlins. Earth ships lead the way including Warlocks (there is a shot of at least one).
