Yeah, i agree that Sol would branch out tech-wise from the GTVA, but I think that they've got plenty of mass-produced craft that can deal damage. Fighting for Sol seems pretty interesting, as the new ships. I'm especially excited to know what kind of weapons they designed

Don't any of you think that Sol should have completely different designs of spacecraft? Since they were afraid of the Lucifer wouldn't they start researching technologies(WITHOUT VASUDAN INFLUENCE) to make more powerful ships? They might even use parts from captured Shivan ships like the mara and make their own super-cannon energy gun for fighters(like a kayser). Though there should be masses of old Terran ships defending Sol, I think that they would have probably scrapped them for materials to build more modern ships with beam cannons and possibly capital ships with shields(yes! ). And without the Shivans coming into Sol again and blowing up their ships(like what happend to the GTVA) they should have more ships to fight with too(lots of shipyards were on Sol). Well I hope this clears some of your minds and isn't too confusing!

No, because they have really good telescopes that can see those poor GTVA ships still trapped in space so they just coppied its design. It IS the future after all.

wouldn't sol have had to channel it's resourses into making sure that it's population survived. I mean they might have made some really really really really big ships that look really really really really scary...but in fact are like colony and/or prison ships.

WTF? Your crazy! Even if they had super powerful telescopes, there are infinite areas that can be seen, even if there are 400,000 sathani in the system, the telescope might only see empty space still...

Machina Terra and BWO have very differing views of what happened in Sol so both are quite original.

Sol has never seen a Mara class fighter, but we have assumed that they did get their hands on some Shivan technology and that they did build some new ships and modify some old ones.

There will be different emphasis on weapons and the like too. Just wait and see.

Actually if you remember the last cutscene. There are Vasudans in the Sol System. If you don't believe me go watch it again. Several Thoths made it out too. And there were most likely Vasudans in Sol before that too.

Yeah...

Remember, terrans didn't trust Vasudans, and so their input would be disregarded, if the Terrans let them survive...

Im sure the SOL GTA would actually regard the Thoth pilots as heroes after going through what they did...

Firstly, a few Vasudans DID make it to Sol. So, we must assume that there are Vasudans living on Earth and the other colonies in the Sol system.

Secondly, if there is a female Vasudan pilot who escaped to the Sol system, I don't see why the Vasudans cannot reproduce. And no, Vasudans have females and males. Not like frogs.

Thirdly, after 32 years, the GTA or whatever government that replaced it would upgrade their fleet or build totally new designs.

Hey! You show me a Vasudan Female.
Anyways there would most likely be Vasudan Delegates to the GTA there on Earth and also refugees that were fleeing the shivans. Beat that!
