Lol. Predatory organisms have two eyes for the sole purpose of having depth-perception. By having two eyes, it gives you two out of three points of a triangle. Your brain tells how far apart your eyes are when focusing on an object, and you get an idea of how far away it is realitive to other objects that you can see.

Organisms that do less hunting and more evading have two eyes, but generally they face in different directions to increase the field of view. Such organisms lack depth perception, but they are more apt to see a predator trying to sneak up on it.

If something has an eye removed (i.e. Loki, who had half of his face removed), it only has two points for the brain to work with, so he had no depth perception beyond what he could guess at. When I slapped the halves of his head back together, he again had both eyes, thus allowing him to triangulate your distance much more accurately.

That's your biology lesson for the day.
