If you tried to fuse two atoms of Uranium, not only would it take about as much energy as Sol releases in a second (that may be a little exaggerated, but it'd still use up way too much), but it'd also decay in about an attosecond. The ideal isotope for fusion is actually Helium-3 (considering that it's a light element).

Fission of uranium works, but not with depleted uranium. Depleted uranium is nothing but radioactive.

And as for whoever "Rosie O'Donnell" is.. well, look who's talking now.

BTW, I did my last post quick and didn't have time to spell check, the energy required to fusion as well a the energy fro the fusion would have of destroyed the bar and I've been a Shadow since the beggining of ICA, it's just that sometimes I take a palpable form.

By the way, may I note that fusion is a very inefficient method of extracting energy, mostly because more energy is usually required to initiate it. The only exception is a stron gravitational force, e.g. Sol and other stars.
