It is necessary to use Winrar v3.20 or is higher.

Don't set difficulty level higher than Easy for this kind of missions (otherwise all EA fighters will be wiped out very quickly), there is a number of them throughout the campaing. In the Battle of Vega, as I remember, all you need to do is to destroy all Nials (a plenty of them) and then jump out with EAS Squall.

Not sure but did you try to engage the jump drive multiple times. Thats a fairly commony FS2 bug where the engines don't engage the first, second, third, or tenth time...but they will.

All right kiddies! Thought I'd give everyone an update on the English version of ITB. I've just reached the half-way point, missions 1-19 are finished. I've corrected all the briefing and in-game text and replaced all the audio files. I've tested all of the missions up to about 12 I think. I'll probably finish testing the rest by the end of the week. Shouldn't be too long before the whole thing is done! Hope you'll all enjoy this! I've had fun just working on it, so I can't wait to play the campaign once it's completed.
Oh and den5, what do you think about using the full nebula with ambient red for the hyperspace missions instead of the FS2 subspace animation? (Like in TBP missions) I've tried it out and I think it's much more accurate to the Bablyon 5 version of hyperspace. Lemme know what ya think.

Yeah and Nials rip your hull when you hit jump 5th time

Agree on that, but can't have alot ships and fighting on it, it causes a lot of problems with even powerfullest computers.

Try to engage your jump drives for several times while Squall is departing also keeping near EAS Squall. As IceFire had mentioned earlier this should work okay.

Yep, I've got FS2 to crash in the first three seconds of every nebula-based TBP mission. (( This is the TBP issue I think, cus' the original FS2 hadn't this kind of a problem. Even setting the overall detail level to Low has no effect. Is there any way to solve this without moving the mission off the nebula environment?

I got some time and fixed that damn hyperspace mission on Tale of EAS Janus (and bunch of other mistakes). This has been up for a 2 days now, but haven't said anything. Those who want Janus as R2 compatiable can get it from her site (which is on my sig).

BTW: We haven't really properly developed hyperspace to my liking yet. Its still a sort of WIP that we didn't work too much on for R2.

I've had FS2 crash on me a couple of times, both in hyperspace, and in normal missions. So I don't know what the deal is. I think hyperspace does need some improvement, still a bit too dark fro my taste. But I think it's much better than that horrid subspace animation from the original. That was always a weak point in FS and FS2 in my opinion. I don't seem to have a problem with lagging in hyperspace, but then again I haven't played a really complex mission in it yet.

Have found a way to bypass TBP nebula problem - in D3D it works fine, Glide crashes it. Many thanks to IceFire.

Mine crashed a few times during some of the command briefings but I restarted the game and it worked fine. Now I'm ont he mission where they down the jumppoint experiment and my game crashes every time the Minbari jump in. Otherwise aside from the grammar it's great.

If you just want to get past and keep playing, you can use cheat codes and make youself invincible.
Type in freespace2.com ingame, "Cheats enabled" should show up in the corner. Then hold the ~ key, and press I. There's alot more, but that's the only one I know.

I suspect that the mission makes use of the break-warp or Never-warp SEXPs when you aren't close to the ship you're supposed to jump out with. The situation you describe certainly sounds like it.
If that's the problem the cheats won't help you much

Well I got past that crash but with this campaign I keep noticing. Den5 you tend to put too many ships in the mission. Wing after wing after wing jumps in before other wings are taken out which builds up more and more fighters. I was just playing hte mission where oyu are departing from Io and wings keep jumping in and crash the game. There had to be like 50 fighters and around 8 cap ships there at 1 time. Yeah there is a limit on cap ships but there is one on fighters too. FS2 doesn't like that many at 1 time.
