anyone notice on the third screen shot ( the one with the strikingly similar looking ship to that of USS Voyager) that there is what looks to be a Minbari Orbital Platform... the ring structure, the model looks pratically the same...

on a second note...

freelancer is FUN! finished the main campaign (I wasted ALOT of time just exploring, trading, taking missions etc).

MAN was I surprised when I finally returned to liberty, game beaton...took a mission to kill some liberty raiders....killed them all in the first pass....LMAO! that was great...

Now I'm exploring, I've noticed that the main campaign only takes place in about 1/2 the universe...just look at the universe map, and hunt for dead ends, and use the "paths" looking at friendly, nutral, and enemy to find jump holes/bases, etc...

I found some neat stuff already! like 39 jump holes (so far) a cruise ship that I can buy alien artifacts from for a mere 300$, and sell on liberty for near 2000 (Now THAT is worth it, even in my little fighter with 70 cargo space...)

not to mention mining...mining can be fun too! made some money mining some standard scrap metal. looking for a diamond mining zone now.

Also, while exploring space (Just following paths I havent been down, I've come across some ships I can shoot at (Dead remnats of a war) got some cash for the guns that popped off. also finding all kinds of neat things in space, still searching for the planet of the apes (Yes, it DOES exists, but I'm not going to read where, want to find it on my own)

I played the Demo. Flying with the mouse is horrible. But flying with the keyboard and shooting with the mouse is quite fun. But I won't buy it unless I get a better graphiccard. When there are too many ships its more like a dia show than a real time game .

yeah it takes a LOT of getting used to. But once you get the hang of it you find that it's better than a joystick they way it's done.

I got used to it pretty quickly, but try to customize controls. You may find better control styles to suit yourself.

I was dumb and played through the main plot using default controls...
